Situated in the heart of Romania, Brasov is, and has been, an important city for centuries. It has been attracting considerable foreign investment for many years before Romania's admission to the EU and many international companies have set up offices in the city.
Bran Castle, probably better known as Dracula's Castle, is a short drive of 18.6 miles (30 km) from Brasov.
The castle set high on its rocky mound is of historic and architectural interest but is also an important tourist attraction for the area because of the fascination with it's connection to the Dracula myths of Bram Stoker's novel.
